Team Profiles and Information

Manage your team's profile, including logo, description, and team information.

Team Profile Overview

A team profile includes:

  • Team Name: Display name
  • Team Slug: URL identifier
  • Team Logo: Visual identity
  • Team Description: Information about the team
  • Team Captain: Team leader
  • Team Status: Active/Inactive
  • Team Statistics: Performance data

Accessing Team Profile

For Team Captains

  1. Navigate to your team page
  2. Click "Edit Team" or "Team Settings"
  3. Edit team information
  4. Save changes

For Administrators/Staff

  1. Go to Team Management
  2. Find the team
  3. Click "Edit" on the team
  4. Update team information
  5. Save changes

Team Information

Team Name

Display Name:

  • Public name of the team
  • Appears on all team pages
  • Used in tournament listings
  • Can be changed (slug cannot)

Editing Name:

  1. Go to team settings
  2. Update team name
  3. Save changes
  4. Name updates immediately

Team Slug

URL Identifier:

  • Used in team URLs
  • Cannot be changed after creation
  • Must be unique within host
  • Create new team if different slug needed

Uploading Logo:

  1. Go to team settings
  2. Click "Upload Logo" or "Change Logo"
  3. Select image file
  4. Preview logo
  5. Save changes

Logo Requirements:

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or SVG
  • Size: Recommended 512x512 pixels
  • Aspect Ratio: Square (1:1) works best
  • File Size: Under 2MB recommended

Logo Best Practices:

  • Use transparent background (PNG)
  • High resolution for quality
  • Simple design that's readable small
  • Consistent with team branding

Team Description

Adding Description:

  1. Go to team settings
  2. Find "Description" field
  3. Enter team description
  4. Save changes

Description Content:

  • Team history and background
  • Team achievements
  • Team goals and mission
  • Any other relevant information

Team Captain

Assigning Captain

For Administrators:

  1. Go to team settings
  2. Find "Team Captain" field
  3. Select player from roster
  4. Save changes

Note: Captain must be a team member

Captain Responsibilities

Team captains can:

  • Register team for tournaments
  • Manage team roster
  • Edit team settings
  • Withdraw from tournaments
  • Manage team members

Team Status

Active Status

Active Teams:

  • Can register for tournaments
  • Appear in team listings
  • Can participate in matches
  • Fully functional

Inactive Status

Inactive Teams:

  • Cannot register for tournaments
  • May not appear in listings
  • Typically archived teams
  • Can be reactivated if needed

Changing Status

  1. Go to team settings
  2. Find "Status" field
  3. Select Active or Inactive
  4. Save changes

Team Statistics

Viewing Statistics

Team statistics include:

  • Match History: Games played
  • Win/Loss Record: Win rate
  • Tournament Results: Tournament performance
  • Player Statistics: Individual player stats

Statistics Display

Statistics appear on:

  • Team profile page
  • Tournament standings
  • Match results
  • Public team pages

Editing Team Profile

Step 1: Access Settings

  1. Navigate to team page
  2. Click "Edit Team" or "Settings"
  3. Edit form opens

Step 2: Make Changes

Update any of:

  • Team name
  • Team logo
  • Team description
  • Team captain
  • Team status

Step 3: Save Changes

  1. Review changes
  2. Click "Save" or "Update Team"
  3. Changes apply immediately

Team Branding

  • Consistent Logo: Use same logo everywhere
  • Clear Name: Choose memorable team name
  • Professional Image: Maintain professional appearance
  • Updated Information: Keep description current

Profile Management

  • Complete Profile: Fill in all relevant information
  • Regular Updates: Update information as needed
  • Accurate Information: Ensure information is correct
  • Professional Description: Write clear, professional description

Logo Management

  • High Quality: Use high-resolution logos
  • Appropriate Size: Optimize for web display
  • Consistent Usage: Use logo consistently
  • Update When Needed: Refresh logo if rebranding

Common Issues

"Cannot edit team"

Problem: Unable to edit team information

Solutions:

  • Verify you're team captain or have permissions
  • Check team isn't locked
  • Ensure you're on correct team page
  • Try refreshing the page

"Logo not uploading"

Problem: Logo upload fails

Solutions:

  • Check file format (PNG, JPG, SVG)
  • Verify file size is under 2MB
  • Ensure image is valid
  • Try different image file
  • Check upload permissions

"Changes not saving"

Problem: Changes not persisting

Solutions:

  • Verify all required fields are filled
  • Check for validation errors
  • Ensure you have save permissions
  • Try saving again
  • Refresh and retry
