Managing Teams

Overview of team management for administrators and staff. Learn how to view, edit, and organize teams.

Team Management Overview

Team management allows you to:

  • View All Teams: See all teams in your host
  • Create Teams: Create new teams
  • Edit Teams: Update team information
  • Manage Rosters: Add/remove players
  • Monitor Teams: Track team activity
  • Organize Teams: Organize and categorize teams

Accessing Team Management

For Administrators

  1. Navigate to Admin Dashboard
  2. Go to "Teams" in sidebar
  3. View all teams in system

For Staff

  1. Navigate to host dashboard
  2. Go to "Teams" section
  3. View teams for your assigned hosts

For Hosts

  1. Navigate to host admin page
  2. Go to "Teams" tab
  3. View teams for your host

Viewing Teams

Team List

The team list displays:

  • Team Name: Display name
  • Team Logo: Team logo (if uploaded)
  • Team Captain: Captain name
  • Member Count: Number of players
  • Status: Active/Inactive
  • Actions: Edit, view, delete options

Team Filters

Filter teams by:

  • Status: Active, Inactive
  • Host: Filter by host
  • Tournament: Teams in specific tournament
  • Search: Search by name or slug

Team Sorting

Sort teams by:

  • Name: Alphabetical
  • Creation Date: When team was created
  • Member Count: Number of players
  • Status: Active/Inactive

Team Management Actions

Creating Teams

Create New Team:

  1. Click "Create Team" button
  2. Fill in team information
  3. Assign captain (optional)
  4. Save team
  5. Team appears in list

Editing Teams

Edit Team Information:

  1. Find team in list
  2. Click "Edit" button
  3. Update team information
  4. Save changes
  5. Changes apply immediately

Editable Fields:

  • Team name
  • Team logo
  • Team description
  • Team captain
  • Team status

Viewing Team Details

View Team:

  1. Click on team name or "View" button
  2. See team profile page
  3. View roster, statistics, tournaments
  4. Access team management options

Deleting Teams

Remove Team:

  1. Find team to delete
  2. Click "Delete" button
  3. Confirm deletion
  4. Team is removed

Warning: Deleting team may affect:

  • Tournament registrations
  • Match history
  • Statistics
  • Player associations

Team Organization

Team Categories

Organize teams by:

  • Host: Teams belong to specific hosts
  • Tournament: Teams registered for tournaments
  • Status: Active vs. Inactive teams
  • Custom: Custom organization methods

Team Lists

Different Views:

  • All Teams: All teams in system/host
  • Active Teams: Only active teams
  • Tournament Teams: Teams in specific tournament
  • My Teams: Teams you manage (for players)

Team Monitoring

Team Activity

Monitor team activity:

  • Recent Registrations: Teams that recently registered
  • Roster Changes: Teams with roster updates
  • Tournament Participation: Teams in active tournaments
  • Inactive Teams: Teams that haven't been active

Team Statistics

View team statistics:

  • Team Count: Total number of teams
  • Active Teams: Number of active teams
  • Average Roster Size: Average players per team
  • Tournament Participation: Teams in tournaments

Bulk Operations

Bulk Actions

Perform actions on multiple teams:

  • Bulk Edit: Update multiple teams
  • Bulk Status Change: Change status of multiple teams
  • Bulk Delete: Remove multiple teams
  • Export Teams: Export team list

Team Import/Export

Export Teams:

  1. Select teams to export
  2. Click "Export" button
  3. Download team data
  4. Use for backup or analysis

Import Teams:

  1. Prepare team data file
  2. Click "Import" button
  3. Upload file
  4. Teams are created
