Terms of Service
Last updated: 5/29/2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using League Island (formerly Tournament Manager, and referred to here as the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
League Island provides tools for organizing, managing, and participating in tournaments (including but not limited to League of Legends and other games). Features may include team management, brackets, scheduling, registration workflows, and integration with third-party platforms (e.g., Riot Games, Discord, Stripe) as described in the product.
3. Account and Eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. The Service may require you to sign in via third-party providers (e.g., email, Google, Riot Games); their terms also apply to that sign-in. You must be old enough to form a binding contract and meet any age requirements for the games or platforms you use through the Service.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
- Use the Service for fraud, harassment, or abuse.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Scrape or automate access in ways not permitted by us.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Payments, Fees, and Taxes
Some tournaments may require paid registration. Payment processing is provided by Stripe and related Stripe Connect services. By paying through the Service, you also agree to Stripe's terms and policies.
- Hosts may set tournament registration prices, and the checkout total may include platform service fees and applicable sales tax.
- Charges may appear on statements in a "Host via League Island" format (or similar variations required by card network or processor rules).
- Refunds for tournament registration are host-initiated under host policy and applicable law; League Island does not guarantee refunds outside those policies.
- If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated, we may temporarily freeze the affected team's registration or participation status while the dispute is being resolved.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its content (excluding user content and third-party materials) are owned or licensed by us. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without permission. Game-related trademarks and content are the property of their respective owners (e.g., Riot Games).
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for the conduct of users or third-party platforms. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g., disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.
