Managing Tournament Teams

View and manage teams that have registered for your tournament. Monitor registrations, view team rosters, and manage team participation.

Viewing Tournament Teams

Accessing Team List

  1. Navigate to your tournament
  2. Go to "Teams" tab
  3. View all registered teams

Team Information Displayed

The teams list shows:

  • Team Name: Display name of the team
  • Team Logo: Team logo (if uploaded)
  • Registration Date: When team registered
  • Status: Registration status
  • Roster: Number of players
  • Actions: View, edit, remove options

Team Registration Status

Registration Statuses

Teams can have different statuses:

  • Pending: Registration submitted, awaiting approval
  • Approved: Registration approved, team can participate
  • Rejected: Registration not approved
  • Withdrawn: Team withdrew from tournament

Managing Registration Status

To change team status:

  1. Find team in the list
  2. Click "Edit" or status dropdown
  3. Select new status
  4. Click "Save"
  5. Status updates immediately

Viewing Team Details

Team Profile

Click on a team to view:

  • Team Information: Name, logo, description
  • Roster: List of team members
  • Player Details: Individual player information
  • Statistics: Team performance stats (if available)
  • Match History: Matches played in tournament

Team Roster

View team roster to see:

  • Players: All team members
  • Roles: Player roles (Captain, Member, Substitute)
  • Riot Accounts: Linked Riot accounts
  • Ranks: Player ranks (if verified)

Team Management Actions

Approving Teams

To approve a team registration:

  1. Find team with "Pending" status
  2. Click "Approve" or change status to "Approved"
  3. Team can now participate
  4. Team receives confirmation

Rejecting Teams

To reject a team registration:

  1. Find team you want to reject
  2. Click "Reject" or change status to "Rejected"
  3. Provide reason (if applicable)
  4. Team is notified

Note: Rejected teams cannot participate but can re-register if registration is still open.

Removing Teams

To remove a team from tournament:

  1. Find team you want to remove
  2. Click "Remove" or "Delete"
  3. Confirm removal
  4. Team is removed from tournament

Warning: Removing a team may affect:

  • Scheduled matches
  • Tournament brackets
  • Standings and statistics

Team Registration Management

Monitoring Registration

Track team registrations:

  • Registration Count: See how many teams registered
  • Pending Approvals: Teams awaiting approval
  • Capacity: Current vs. maximum teams
  • Registration Status: Open or closed

Registration Limits

Monitor registration limits:

  • Max Teams: Check if approaching limit
  • Current Count: Number of registered teams
  • Available Slots: Remaining registration capacity
  • Close Registration: Close when limit reached

Team Organization

Sorting Teams

Sort teams by:

  • Name: Alphabetical order
  • Registration Date: When they registered
  • Status: Group by registration status
  • Performance: By win/loss record (if available)

Filtering Teams

Filter teams by:

  • Status: Show only approved, pending, etc.
  • Registration Date: Teams registered in date range
  • Performance: Teams by win/loss record

Team Communication

Messaging Teams

Communicate with teams:

  1. Find team in list
  2. Click "Message" or "Contact"
  3. Send message to team
  4. Teams can respond through messaging system

Bulk Actions

Perform actions on multiple teams:

  • Approve Multiple: Approve several teams at once
  • Send Messages: Message multiple teams
  • Export List: Export team list for external use

Registration Management

  • Review Promptly: Approve/reject teams quickly
  • Clear Communication: Inform teams of status changes
  • Monitor Capacity: Watch team count approaching limit
  • Document Decisions: Keep notes on approvals/rejections

Before Tournament Starts

  1. Review Registrations: Check all pending registrations
  2. Approve Teams: Approve eligible teams
  3. Verify Rosters: Ensure team rosters are complete
  4. Close Registration: Close registration when full or deadline passes
  5. Finalize List: Confirm final team list

During Tournament

  1. Monitor Teams: Watch for team changes
  2. Handle Withdrawals: Process team withdrawals if needed
  3. Update Rosters: Allow roster updates if permitted
  4. Communicate: Keep teams informed

After Tournament

  1. Review Participation: See which teams participated
  2. Export Data: Export team data for records

Troubleshooting

"Team not showing"

  • Verify team registered successfully
  • Check registration status
  • Ensure team is approved (if approval required)
  • Refresh the page

"Cannot approve team"

  • Verify you have management permissions
  • Check registration is still open
  • Ensure team limit isn't reached
  • Try refreshing the page

"Team roster incomplete"

  • Contact team to complete roster
  • Verify players have linked accounts
  • Check rank requirements are met
  • Allow time for roster completion
