Link Riot accounts to user profiles to enable rank verification, statistics, and tournament features.

Account Linking Overview

Account linking allows:

• Rank Verification: Verify player ranks
• Statistics Import: Import game statistics
• Tournament Codes: Generate tournament codes
• Account Verification: Verify player accounts

Linking Methods

OAuth Linking (Recommended)

Using Riot OAuth:

1. Go to profile settings
2. Click "Link Riot Account"
3. Redirected to Riot login
4. Log in with Riot account
5. Authorize connection
6. Account linked automatically

Benefits:

• Secure OAuth flow
• Automatic verification
• No manual entry
• Most reliable

Manual Linking

Enter Account Information:

1. Go to profile settings
2. Find "Link Riot Account" section
3. Enter Game Name and Tag
4. Enter Region
5. Click "Link Account"
6. System verifies and links

Linking Process

Step 1: Access Linking

1. Navigate to profile
2. Go to "Settings" or "Account"
3. Find "Riot Account" section
4. Click to start linking

Step 2: Provide Information

For OAuth:

• Click "Link with Riot"
• Log in and authorize

For Manual:

• Enter Game Name
• Enter Tag
• Select Region
• Submit

Step 3: Verification

Verification Process:

1. System verifies account exists
2. Fetches account information
3. Links account to profile
4. Updates profile with data

Step 4: Confirmation

After Linking:

1. Account is linked
2. Profile updated
3. Rank information fetched
4. Account marked as verified

Unverified Account

Unverified Status:

• Account not verified
• Limited features
• May need manual verification

Rank Information

Rank Fetching

After Linking:

• Solo/Duo rank fetched
• Flex rank fetched

Rank Updates

Automatic Updates:

• Ranks update when games imported
• Periodic rank refreshes
• Updates during tournaments
• Manual refresh available

"Account not linking"
