What is This Platform?

The Tournament Management Platform is a comprehensive system for organizing and managing esports tournaments. It provides:

  • Tournament Management: Create and manage tournaments with multiple stages
  • Team Management: Organize teams and manage rosters
  • Match Management: Schedule and track matches
  • Game Management: Import and track individual games
  • Broadcast Integration: Overlays and controls for live broadcasts
  • Player Statistics: Track player performance and statistics

Key Concepts

Before diving in, it's helpful to understand these key concepts:

Hosts

A Host is an organization or entity that runs tournaments. Each host has:

  • Their own branding and customization
  • Their own tournaments
  • Their own teams and players
  • Public-facing pages

Tournaments

A Tournament is a competitive event organized by a host. Tournaments can have:

  • Multiple stages (e.g., Regular Season, Playoffs)
  • Multiple teams
  • Multiple matches
  • Custom settings and configurations

Teams

A Team is a group of players competing together. Teams can:

  • Register for tournaments
  • Have rosters with multiple players
  • Have team statistics and history

Matches

A Match is a competition between two teams. Matches can be:

  • Best of 1, 3, 5, or 7
  • Scheduled for specific dates and times
  • Tracked with scores and statistics

Games

A Game is an individual League of Legends game within a match. For example:

  • A Best of 3 match has 3 game slots
  • Each game can be imported from Riot's API
  • Games track detailed player statistics

User Roles

The platform has different roles with different permissions:

  • Admin: Full system access, can manage all hosts
  • Staff: Can manage specific hosts and their tournaments
  • Host: Can manage their own host and tournaments
  • Player: Can view public information and join teams
