Add and manage social media links for your host organization

Connect your host's social media accounts to display links on your public pages. This helps users find and follow your organization across platforms.

Supported Platforms

You can add links for:

  • Twitter/X: Your Twitter/X profile
  • Instagram: Your Instagram account
  • Facebook: Your Facebook page

  • Twitch: Your Twitch channel
  • Discord: Your Discord server

Step 1: Access Settings

  1. Navigate to Host Settings
  2. Go to the "Social Links" section
  3. You'll see fields for each platform

Step 2: Enter URLs

For each platform you want to link:

  1. Enter the full URL to your profile/page
  2. Use the complete URL, not just the username
  3. Leave fields blank for platforms you don't use

Step 3: Save

  1. Click "Save" at the bottom of the settings page
  2. Links will appear on your public pages
  3. Changes apply immediately

Best Practices

Complete Profiles

  • Add links for all active social media accounts
  • Keep links updated if accounts change
  • Use official account URLs, not shortened links

Consistency

  • Use the same handle/name across platforms when possible
  • Keep branding consistent across social accounts
  • Update all links if you rebrand

Active Accounts

  • Only link to accounts you actively maintain
  • Remove links to inactive accounts
  • Focus on platforms where your audience is active

URL Format

  • Always use full URLs (https://...)
  • Include www. if that's your canonical URL
  • Use the official platform URL format
  • Test links after adding to ensure they work
  1. Navigate to Host Settings
  2. Go to Social Links section
  3. Update the URL in the appropriate field
  4. Click "Save"
  1. Navigate to Host Settings
  2. Go to Social Links section
  3. Clear the field for the platform you want to remove
  4. Click "Save"
  5. Link will no longer appear on public pages

Adding New Platforms

If a new platform is added to the system:

  1. Navigate to Host Settings
  2. Look for the new platform field
  3. Enter your profile URL
  4. Save changes

Verification

After adding social links:

  1. Visit your public landing page
  2. Check that links appear correctly
  3. Click each link to verify it works
  4. Ensure links open in a new tab/window
  5. Verify icons or text display correctly

Troubleshooting

  • Verify you saved the settings
  • Check that you entered full URLs (not just usernames)
  • Clear browser cache and refresh
  • Check if your theme displays social links
  • Verify URLs are correct and complete
  • Test URLs in a new browser tab
  • Ensure accounts are public (if applicable)
  • Check for typos in URLs

Wrong Platform Icon

  • Contact support if platform icons display incorrectly
  • Verify you're using the correct URL format
  • Check that the platform is supported

Privacy Considerations

Public vs Private

  • Links are displayed on public pages
  • Only link to public accounts
  • Consider privacy implications
  • Use business/official accounts when possible

Account Security

  • Don't share private account information
  • Use official business accounts for hosts
  • Keep personal and host accounts separate
