Configure host settings including contact information, social links, and basic information

Host Settings and Configuration

Configure your host's basic information, contact details, and social media links through the host settings page.

Accessing Host Settings

  1. Navigate to the Admin Dashboard
  2. Go to Host Management
  3. Select the host you want to configure
  4. Click on "Settings" or navigate to /admin/hosts/[host-slug]/settings

Alternatively, if you're managing a specific host:

  • Navigate to /[host-slug]/admin/settings

Basic Information

Display Name

The public-facing name of your host organization. This appears:

  • On public pages
  • In tournament listings
  • In team pages
  • Throughout the platform

Slug

The URL-friendly identifier for your host. Note: The slug cannot be changed after creation. If you need a different slug, you'll need to create a new host.

Tagline

A short, memorable tagline that appears:

  • In the hero section of your landing page
  • In search results
  • In host listings

Example: "The Premier League of Legends Tournament Series"

Description

A detailed description of your host organization. This can include:

  • History and background
  • Mission statement
  • Tournament formats
  • Any other relevant information

Contact Information

Contact Email

The primary contact email for your host. This is used for:

  • Support inquiries
  • Public contact information
  • Notification recipients (if configured)

Connect your social media accounts to display links on your public pages:

  • Twitter/X: Your Twitter/X profile URL
  • Instagram: Your Instagram profile URL
  • Facebook: Your Facebook page URL
  • YouTube: Your YouTube channel URL
  • Twitch: Your Twitch channel URL
  • Discord: Your Discord server invite link
  1. Navigate to the "Social Links" section in settings
  2. Enter the full URL for each platform you want to link
  3. Leave fields blank for platforms you don't use
  4. Click "Save" to update

Example URLs:

  • Twitter: https://twitter.com/yourhandle
  • Instagram: https://instagram.com/yourhandle
  • Discord: https://discord.gg/yourserver

Logo Management

  1. Click "Upload Logo" in the Logo section
  2. Select an image file from your computer
  3. The logo will be automatically resized and optimized
  4. Preview the logo before saving

Logo Requirements

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or SVG
  • Recommended Size: 512x512 pixels or larger
  • Aspect Ratio: Square (1:1) works best
  • File Size: Under 2MB recommended
  • Background: Transparent PNG recommended for best results

Logo Usage

Your logo appears:

  • In the navigation bar
  • On public pages
  • In tournament listings
  • In email notifications (if configured)

Saving Changes

After making changes:

  1. Click "Save" at the bottom of the settings page
  2. Changes are applied immediately
  3. Public pages will reflect updates within a few seconds

Settings Sections

The host settings page is organized into sections:

  1. Basic Information: Name, slug, tagline, description
  2. Contact Information: Email and contact details
  3. Social Links: Social media account links
  4. Logo: Logo upload and management
  5. Theme Customization: Colors, layout, and visual settings
  6. Per-Page Settings: Customization for individual pages

Best Practices

  1. Keep Information Updated: Regularly review and update contact information
  2. Complete Profiles: Fill in all relevant fields for better discoverability
  3. Use Quality Logos: Upload high-quality logos for professional appearance
  4. Link Social Accounts: Connect all active social media accounts
  5. Write Clear Descriptions: Help users understand what your host does
